Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial titanium roots implanted into the jaw bone to simulate a tooth root and to support a crown. The implant fixture is inserted into the jaw bone and usually needs a healing period (osseo-integration period) of 3 months before loaded with an implant supported crown. In selected situations implants can be loaded with implant supported provisional prostheses immediately after the implant fixture placement procedure. Implants can support a single crown or can support partial occlusal reconstructions or full occlusal reconstructions.
